What Have I Been Up To?

Wow has it really been almost two weeks since my last post?! How time flies! Ive been busy celebrating my brother and sisters birthday as well as one of my best friends with lots of food and cake, spending too much money on clothes and makeup and I also celebrated my brothers engagement! Which I have appointed myself as official wedding planner :)

Picked up this claw ring and spike bracelet from the markets for $5 each!

Pancakes on the rocks for my sisters birthday. Devils delight :)

For my sisters 18th birthday party, she had a theme that you have to come dressed as something starting with A O or S (her initials) I went as Security :)

Security guard and my sister went as a Sim!

Sorry about being so MIA recently. I have been enjoying staying away from the world wide web, it has been a nice break! What have you been up to?

Currently Loving: Avène Gentle Eye Make-up Remover

I've been on the hunt for a good eye makeup remover - one that is gentle for my dry/sensitive skin and does the job! I like to have every ounce of mascara off my eyelashes so you are not constantly pilling up layers and layers of product day after day.

So it was perfect timing when this little goody arrived at my door in my July Lust Have It! box last month. I was aware of this brand as I've seen it around but I've never really looked into it or ever bought anything from this brand.

The Avène gentle eye makeup remover is exactly what I was looking for. Something that will wipe away my mascara after a day of work without feeling like I'm tugging at my eyelashes or the sensitive skin around my eyes. This is a tiny little sample size but I'm amazed at how long it is lasting me - even using it everyday! A little with this product really goes a loooong way.

trying to show you how much I've used since getting it a few weeks ago!
I dab a small pea size of product onto a cotton pad and the mascara just slides off. And after a night out with liquid eyeliner and eyeshadow my tip is to put the product onto a make up wipe instead of a cotton pad. This way you get the product as well as the makeup wipe helping get all that eye makeup off!

It has this texture that is really soothing and cooling and it is really refreshing on the eyes. I love it! And I can't wait to buy the full size bottle.

Have you tried this product or anything from this brand??

Can't Afford A Birkin

I was browsing through tumblr the other night and I saw this bag pop up and fell in love! You can buy it from big cartel from a brand called Souve here and I am definetley debating over whether to buy this or not. I would love it if one day I could afford to a buy a Birkin so when I saw this bag I had a little giggle  because it is so true. This bag will do until I find a rich man one day :)

Hope you are having a great week!
p.s go check out my tumblr here if you like :)

I'm very excited to be posting my very first outfit of the day and I'm hoping to do a lot more (if you like them!).  Well actually this isn't an outfit of the day.. it's an outfit of the night but lets not get too technical :) Sunday night I got together with my friends to say goodbye to one of them Serena who lives in Brno!

What I'm Wearing
Asos reversible jacket - Navy and Floral
Bardot polka dot blouse
Zara lime green skinny jeans
Mimco black loafers
Revlon Coralberry

Do you like my very first OOTD? I would love to do some more!

Can't Live Without: Lucas' Paw Paw Ointment

If you live in Australia, you would be very aware of this 'Ointment' however the other day I realised that this is actually an Australian product and a lot of you lovely people that read my blog aren't Aussie and might not know about paw paw! It is strange to call this an ointment because when a lot of people talk about it we (Aussies) just call it paw paw and it is something that I can't live without.

Basically it is a lip balm. But it can also be used for dry skin, burns, cuts and rashes and a lot of things! It is funny because at first I was anti paw paw.. I didn't like the texture or the smell and I didn't really get it but one day after having to use my sisters with no other lip product available I realised how amazing it was.  It is made in Australia with Australian pawpaws which is a plus!

It comes in a 2 different sized tubs as well a tube which I prefer. I have one in my handbag, one on my bedside table and one in my car. It really is a miracle product and everyone in my family uses it for their lips even my dad. I also love to put heaps on before bed because when you wake up in the morning your lips feel refreshed and so soft.

Its available in Australia pretty much everywhere and I think it is also available in New Zeland. I definitely know you can't buy it in the US or the UK but you may be able to purchase it online.

Have you ever head of this product?

The Best Things In Life Are Free

One of my favourite things in this world are sunsets. They are an amazingly beautiful reminder of this big crazy world we live in. The amazing colours and clouds just stop me in my path and I just have to watch and take a picture.

On my way home from work, I drive on a bridge over the water and everyday I look to my left to see the view (I know probably not the safest thing to do while driving). If it looks good enough I pull over and jump out of the car to take a picture and just soak up the amazingness.

On friday afternoon after an extremely windy, and stressful day at work, there was the most exceptional sunset that I had ever seen. I sometimes get a bit self-conscious getting out of my car to take photos as there are apartments all around the park and I feel a bit silly.. but this day there was another grown man doing it too so I didn't feel as bad! I'm so upset that I didn't have my camera with my that day but thank goodness for camera phones (and believe me.. it looked 10 times better in real life).

After taking these photos I also drove to another look out point that I knew of but I was a bit too late.. there were even 2 other guys taking photos there too! So that made me feel even better.

Having this view after a long day at work just makes me feel so warm inside. I can't even explain how I feel when I see these amazing sunsets and from now on I think I will have to take my camera in my handbag so I don't miss another moment like this! I planned on heading down to my favourite spot last night however it was freezing and windy and I was much warmer in my pjs and dressing gown :)

A few weeks before I also captured this AMAZING sunset that just took my breath away!
P.s I did upload these pics onto my instagram however these have no filter! These are the originals I took with my phone :)

Want Want Want!

Bobbi Brown Corrector
After seeing Sammi from Beautycrush's video on youtube ages ago using this corrector I've been really interested in it! I went and swatched it a few weeks ago and fell in love. Once you find your colour it really does conceal all blemishes and has a beautiful texture.

Stila Custom Colour Blush in Coral
I was browsing the Stila sight as I feel like it has become all the rage recently and I have fallen in love. This blush is a beautiful coral colour and I love the ombre effect it has. It looks expensive and of great quality! Don't you think?

Sleek Face Contour Kit
This has been at the top of my 'want' list for an extremely long time. I still haven't gotten the whole contouring technique down yet but this would help me to practice!

Real Techniques Core Collection Brush Set
With these brushes now available in my local Priceline I've had the chance to actually feel how soft theses brushes actually are. Need I say more?

Makeup Academy Undressed Palette
While in America in April (a few photos from my trip) I stepped inside Sephora for the very first time and was a bit overwhelmed. I was debating over whether or not to buy the Naked Palette 1 or 2 but eventually decided against it.. I couldn't justify the price! And now after discovering the Undressed Palette I am so glad I didn't. At 3 pounds.. It's a bargain!

So hopefully over the next few weeks/months I will have these items here in my hands!
Do you own any of these products? Are any of these on your 'want' list?

Magnetic Nail Polish FAIL

I haven't really heard anything about this nail polish before.. but while browsing I saw it sitting on the shelf and I was very curious. I decided to give it a try because I love nail polish and it sounded pretty cool! I sat down to give it a go and I was very surprised to see that it didn't work!

I read through all the instructions and I thought I was doing it right but it still didn't work. Basically all the instructions said was to paint your nails and while the polish is still wet hold the magnet (that they supply) over your nail as close as possible without touching it for about 15 seconds, move away the magnet and ta da.. it should have a cool pattern.

This nail polish comes with two magnets with one magnet that has straight diagonal lines and the other wavy lines. The polish claims to have small magnets in it which move around when the magnet is placed over the top. I chose this colour because I loved how it was silver with hints of gold and it is a really pretty colour although I just can't get it to work.

I just couldn't figure it out! I even took off the polish and tried again.. I used a different magnet, this time i moved the magnet around, i held it for 10 seconds, then 15 seconds then 30 seconds and nothing. I think I will try this again another day or get my sister to try it out and see if she can get it to work. Or maybe I chose the wrong colour? HELP!

Have any of you used magnetic nail polish before? What am I doing wrong?!

Thanks Bro!

For my birthday back in June I asked my older brother and his girlfriend for one of those massive teddy bears that they sell in Costco. I love them - they are so soft and cuddly and I thought it would be an awesome thing to get for my birthday. Long story short, my brother tried to get one for me but they were sold out!

So last week I get a Facebook message from him (he lives with his girlfriend) saying sorry we couldn't get the bear.. chose one of these items you like from ASOS and we'll buy it for you. I was so surprised! My brother is a doctor and all our lives (myself and my 2 sisters) have joked that he knows so much about fashion after growing up with three sisters -  and we were right! He chose about 5 things for me and I picked this pair of pants and I love them.

They are really different and something I wouldn't have chosen for myself which is why I love them even more.

Pretty sure I have the best older brother ever.. free medical advice and awesome taste in clothes. Thanks matt and bec :)
